We teach the basics so the next generation can rule the kitchen!

A big part of what we do here at Food For Thought is teach pupils where the food they eat comes from so they can learn about the whole process from farm to plate.

We visit schools to teach pupils and their parents/carers cookery skills. In previous sessions, we’ve made hearty dishes like curry and moussaka. These classes are a family favourite, and we are working on how to offer these classes out to all our members.

Our School-Based Cookery Instructor, Stephen Renshaw is busy planning classes for the year. Stephen joined us in the summer and has been working in our member schools ever since.

This is a new role for us and we are looking forward to seeing what else our pupils can stir up in the kitchen.
