Garden Visits
Our original outdoor learning programme, now with added flavour!
Bring your class to our site at Everton Park Nature Garden for a high-impact, high-enjoyment learning experience. These visits combine team-building, conservation, food growing, and seasonal activities with plenty of space to explore and play.
New for this year: Our team are now Forest School trained, meaning sessions can include outdoor cookery, firepit skills, and nature-based learning — all delivered in a safe and supported environment.
Pupils will:
- Learn to plant, nurture and harvest food
- Build confidence, independence, and teamwork
- Prepare and taste food outdoors using fresh ingredients
Practical Info:
- Sessions are free for member schools
- Schools must arrange their own transport
- Pupils must wear weather-appropriate clothing — the garden is exposed with minimal shelter
Ideal for spring and summer — or as an end-of-year celebration rooted in growth and nature.
Nestled within the heart of Everton, the walled garden is a hidden gem. Liverpool City Council have kindly allowed us use of this stunning space. It boasts raised growing beds, serene woodlands, meandering paths, a tranquil pond, and a vibrant wildflower meadow.
Our team have been working hard, along with our community partners, to bring this site back to life. We are committed to creating a space where everyone can benefit from being in a tranquil, outdoor setting.
We are extremely grateful to the Community Payback Team, part of the National Probation Service, who support us in transforming the site and we welcome volunteers who are looking to spend some time in nature and connect with the outdoors.
What our schools think…
“We enjoyed every session with Adam and Issy — especially digging, pulling out weeds and preparing flower beds. They were proud to show off their achievements.”
