Our Programmes
We offer a wide range of hands-on programmes and initiatives that bring learning to life and support the whole child. From cookery coaching and food growing to family workshops, grants and competitions — everything we do is designed to enrich the curriculum and promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
As a not-for-profit, member-led organisation, we’re proud that all of our programmes are now completely free for FFT member schools — helping you make an even greater impact, at no extra cost.

Grow With Us
Our mission extends far beyond serving good food. We engage and teach pupils and our community about the important connections between food and the natural environment.

Cookery Coaching
A big part of what we do is to raise awareness amongst pupils, parents, carers and members of the local community about healthy food options; empowering people to prepare and cook affordable, nutritious food from scratch.

Grants and Competitions
Established in memory of Food For Thought founder, Mike Carden, the Grants Programme is open to all member schools. In addition to this we regularly support schools with fun competitions giving away prizes like books, laptops and sports kits.

Online Resources
Food For Thought member schools can access resources including recipes, lesson plans and risk assessments.

Even More Programmes
At Food For Thought we are passionate about creating a good food culture, we have a range of additional programmes which can support you with this.
