Tomato and Basil Pasta Bake

Ingredients
  • 10 Portions

    Penne Pasta 400g

    FFT Tomato sauce As needed

    Grated cheese 300g

    Dried basil 1 tsp

    Penne Pasta 2kg

    FFT Tomato sauce As needed

    Grated cheese 1.5kg

    Dried basil 2.5 tbsp

  • 100 Portions

    Penne Pasta 4kg

    FFT Tomato sauce As needed

    Grated cheese 3kg

    Dried basil 5 tbsp

Method
  1. Prepare the tomato sauce as per FFT recipe
  2. Fill a large heavy bottomed pan 2/3rd of the way with water
  3. Bring to the boil
  4. Add the pasta
  5. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until the pasta is ‘al dente’
  6. Add the hot cooked pasta to a baking dish
  7. Add the sauce generously mixing well to ensure the pasta is coated
  8. Sprinkle with cheese
  9. Sprinkle with dried basil
  10. Cook at 200c for 10 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbling
